Father’s day just went by!
Happy belated Father’s day to all the fathers and to all men aspiring to be fathers.
It is common thinking that a man’s age doesn’t matter when it comes to having a child and the biological clock exists only for the child bearing mother.
Men typically never stop producing sperms. However the number and quality of the sperms declines with age.
As a male ages his sperm undergoes genetic mutations which increase the chances of the DNA in the sperm getting damaged.Studies have shown fathers of advanced paternal age may be more likely to have children with neurodevelopmental disorders.Practically the ideal age to become a father is less than 35 years.
Besides if the age of man is more than 45years the chances of having a miscarriage are high irrespective of the age of the pregnant woman.
